This first piece is called Dunce. It is an abstraction, inspired out of the following painting, which I created while experimenting during class one day.
The following Paintings are small experiments, painted on the handmade paper, intended specifically to test the material of the paper.
The following painting is titled "Form of Omniscience". It was intended to be an abstract representation of the philosophical idea of the term omniscience, which is defined as one having total knowledge.
The following painting is another abstraction, trying to experiment with philosophical ideas and creating visual representations for them using shapes, forms, and implied gestures of abstract figures.
The following painting is an experimental painting, intended to tap into the subconscious mind, painting whatever colors, symbols, figures, or forms that derive through the chance while exploring memories from moments with a friend.
The following painting was one created in the Spring of 2009 and completed in the Fall of 2009. It was a combination of intentions to use linear perspective to emphasize the dramatics of the emotion, confess a personal statement, and combine these intentions into a self-portrait. The Triangular shape is abstract representation of the letter "A", starting off the confession: "A voice in me screams Get over it! There is no need for you to be 'that' sensitive."
This next piece is titled "When Mother Gets Involved". It is a deadpan self-portrait, symbolic of the seriousness of an inner self-realization. The statement, "How does it feel to have everyone love you," is a comment said to me by my mother. The quote was derived out of a conversation about a complicated, friendship-related dilemma, where I was confiding in my her.
